Mount Rainier National Park Adventure Engagement Shoot

A Mount Rainier National Park Adventure Engagement shoot is a great option for couples looking for an adventure with an iconic backdrop for their photos. With its majestic peaks, alpine lakes, and winding trails it sets the stage for an unforgettable engagement session. Mount Rainier is stunning year round but for accessibility summer or fall is the best time to plan on doing an adventure engagement session here.

Hiking to Myrtle Falls:

We began our adventure with a hike to Myrtle Falls, a trail that weaves through gorgeous forests and opens up to an awe-inspiring view of alpine meadows and the cascading waterfall. As we explored J + T ventured hand in hand, creating candid moments that perfectly captured their connection against the backdrop of nature’s splendor. The trick to dressy photos in an epic location, preparing well. Bring hiking shoes and be prepared to switch in and out of them. There are definitely spots where we can make the heels happen but you definitely don’t want to be hiking miles in them. Myrtle falls trail is less than a mile round trip but a second pair of shoes was still needed.

The Bench and Snow Lakes Trail at Mount Rainier National Park: Champagne Pops and Alpine Dips:

After leaving Myrtle Falls behind, we embarked on the Bench and Snow Lakes Trail. A 2.2 mile RT trail that brings you up to an epic alpine lake. As we reached Snow Lake, J + T seized the moment for a celebratory “champagne pop” (sparkling water- because in LNT is so dang important), toasting to their love and the adventures ahead.

A Daring Dip and Frozen Memories:

Our adventure didn’t stop there. J + T braved the cold alpine lake for a series of photos that captured their fun and adventurous dynamic. I’m down for whatever you can dream up, if that includes you getting into an alpine lake for epic, magazine worthy shots, I’ll get right in there with you in order to get the best angles (I had to here and it was 10000% worth it). After their alpine dip we packed up and made our way back to the trailhead.
