The Oregon Coast is a dream spot for a beach elopement. M and A wanted a simple, intimate day surrounded by nature. They chose several great locations: Seaside, Indian Beach at Ecola State Park, and Arcadia Beach, giving variety to their images.
M+A love to travel and are always excited to see new places and have new experiences together. Exploring the world has become a big part of their relationship, bringing them closer with each adventure. For their elopement, they traveled from Colorado to say their vows with the ocean as a backdrop. As an Oregon elopement photographer, I was stoked to work with them. I’m a considerable adventurer and love capturing the spirit of couples with the same passion for exploring. Working with M and A was a perfect fit, and I couldn’t wait to document their Oregon beach elopement!
Getting ready for an Oregon Beach Elopement
M and A started their elopement day with some simple preparations. They packed all the essentials for their beach elopement: comfortable shoes, a rug and candles for their ceremony setup, wedding attire, and excited attitudes. It was an overcast afternoon for their getting-ready photos and first look on the beach in front of their vacation rental in Seaside, Oregon. Later, the sun debuted just in time for their private vows at Indian Beach in Ecola State Park. The lighting was perfect when they reached Arcadia Beach for their formal ceremony.
Post-Ceremony Moments and Blue Hour Portraits
After their beautiful ceremony, we took portraits at Arcadia Beach and explored as the tide went out. M+A saw starfish and anemones in the wild for the very first time.
As the day transitioned to evening, we popped the champagne (sparkling water because leave no trace) and took blue hour portraits, some featuring lanterns. The moody lighting made it magical. We ended the day with these unique shots before they headed off to a cozy dinner. The couple reflected on the beautiful day and shared their excitement for the future.
