An Intimate Elopement Ceremony
We started the hike out as the fog rolled in. The ceremony occurred at the cliffside overlook, Elk Flats, offering breathtaking panoramic ocean views. Despite the drizzle and fog rolling in, the location was magical. E and D exchanged their heartfelt vows in private, their joy evident as they shared their first kiss as husband and wife. It was a classic spring elopement on the coast, complete with rain jackets and the thrill of an intimate adventure that brought them even closer.
Cliffside Elopement Bliss on the Oregon Coast
After their intimate ceremony at Elk Flats Overlook, E and D transitioned to Arcadia Beach for more fun. They took a moment to enjoy the stunning ocean views and rugged cliffs before heading back to their cars, drenched but happy. The rain cleared just in time for the beachside festivities. They signed their marriage license and explored the beautiful beach, capturing lantern-lit portraits as the sun set (such a dream!). As blue hour settled in, they warmed up by a cozy fire, savoring the charm of their spring elopement. The moody weather made this the perfect season for their private adventure on the Oregon Coast.
Love Letters from E and D’s Cliffside Elopement
“My husband and I loved working with Mattie! She was easy to talk to and extremely personable, maintaining her professionalism while doing so. Getting married alone can be scary because of all the stress of getting everything prepared and ready. I was anxious about the photoshoot before we met up because I didn’t know what to expect, as Mattie and her husband were the only ‘guests’ at our wedding and were strangers to me. However, I surprisingly felt my nerves calm when I met her because she had a plan for our evening. She was organized and brought all kinds of things with her, such as rain jackets and blankets, and she held onto all of our items for us so we didn’t have to worry about them. It was relieving to have someone guide us and keep us on track so we didn’t have to stress about it. It was like having a photographer and wedding planner in one. She knew the process of signing our marriage certificate and obtaining witnesses.
She was very informative from Day 1, when we had our first phone call with her. Because of this, I highly recommend her for your special day. She is an outstanding photographer and knows how to make her clients feel relaxed on such an important day. I recommend getting on the phone with her before making your plans because she is extremely helpful in letting you know how it all works, where to go and stay after, etc. We were pleasantly surprised to get our photos back earlier than expected, and she sent us a nice gift.”
