J+M are full-time RVers who were stationed in Oregon for a bit—and honestly, the Gorge got lucky. We first connected on TikTok (because where else do great stories start these days?), and it didn’t take long before we knew we had to document their love in a way that felt true to their journey. So, we packed a backpack, laced up our boots, and chased golden hour for some sunset couple pictures out at Memaloose Hills—a dreamy Columbia River Gorge trail that checks every box: wildflowers, views, and a front-row seat to Mount Hood in the distance.

The Hike: Inspo for Your Wildflower Engagement Photos
We hiked about a mile out along the Memaloose Hills trail near Mosier and The Dalles, surrounded by that dreamy late-spring greenery and meadows absolutely bursting with wildflowers. Picture golden balsamroot stretching in every direction, a warm breeze, and your person by your side—honestly, if you’re even thinking about wildflower engagement photos, let this be your sign. This is the spot.
J+M strolled hand-in-hand, giggling like teenagers, helping each other across tiny creeks. It was just natural, joyful, and full of the kind of energy I’m always chasing in sessions.

Sunset Couple Pictures + Views of Mount Hood
By the time we reached the top of Memaloose Hills, golden hour was in full swing—and oh, did it deliver. J+M leaned all the way in, dancing on the trail and laughing like no one else existed.
These sunset couple pictures are different when you’re perched above the Columbia River Gorge with your person, soaking in the view, and then boom, Mount Hood decides to make a dramatic guest appearance. The snow-capped peak glowed in the distance, perfectly framed by wildflowers and the last bit of golden light.
