A + A had already said “I do” the week before, but without a photographer there to capture it, they decided to make up for lost time, and I’m so glad they did. These Cannon Beach wedding photos turned into something even more special than a typical wedding day.
Cannon Beach never misses. The salty breeze, the sound of waves, and that big Haystack Rock standing tall (and it doesn’t even charge a site fee). September is hands-down my favorite month to shoot here. You still get all that dreamy golden light and soft warmth from summer, but with way fewer crowds since school’s back in session. It’s the sweet spot between sunny adventure and peaceful elopement vibes.

Cannon Beach Wedding Photos at the Grassy Dunes and Haystack Rock
We started the evening tucked into the grassy dunes with just a hint of wind in the air. The way the sunlight hit the tall grass made everything feel warm and golden. After soaking that in, we wandered down toward Haystack Rock because you can’t not when you’re at Cannon Beach. A + A explored, splashed in the waves, and even stumbled upon a few jellyfish washed up along the shore. One of my favorite ring shots ever came out of that moment.

Sunset, Blue Hour, and Lantern Magic
When the sun sets here, the whole beach turns into this watercolor masterpiece. A + A danced barefoot in the fading light. Once the sun slipped away, we pulled out the lanterns for blue hour. The glow of the lanterns mixed with the deep blues was so dreamy. It’s that cozy, romantic vibe September evenings give off. This was a perfect blend of adventure, love, and a little seaside magic to end their wedding story.

Love Notes from the Beach

I discovered her on TikTok, and let me tell you, it was the BEST find ever! Her photography skills are nothing short of spectacular. Plus, her warm and welcoming spirit instantly melted away any nerves we had about feeling awkward in front of the camera. She made the entire process feel effortless by guiding us with ease and keeping the vibes fun and relaxed. Her humor had us laughing nonstop, and her thoughtful recommendations for local things to do were spot on!
